The fine print
Must be 17 or older for Private Pilot training
Citizen/ Permanent Resident requirements for Private Pilot only
Must have a Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
Younger than 18 must have guardian-signed waiver
6 feet, 4 inches height max
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
Does not include medical certificate from AME (Aviation Medical Examiner), required for the course
Does not include books and supplies
Minimum time to complete Private Pilot Certificate is 40 hours of Flight Training
In the case of Initial Private Pilot Flight Training, logbooks record the experience, which counts toward a pilot’s license should students choose to pursue one.
